Plot[]

This TV special takes place (just like the flim Revenge of the Nerds) in 1984, when nerds Lewis, Gilbert, Booger and Harold Wormser attend Adams college but are now forced complete with the Alpha Betas.

Cast[]

Rob Stone as Lewis Skolnick

Lightfeld Lewis as Gilbert Lowe

Grant Gelt as Harold Wormser

Robbie Rist as Booger Dawson

Richard Gant as P.T. Turner

Jeff Benson as Ogre

Sean Kanan as Todd Channing

Julie McCullough as Betty Childs

Trivia[]

  • The opening sequence of the show utilizes original animated footage of famous Nerds throughout history: Z. Dork (a caveman), Noah, Da Vinci, Franklin, Washington, Einstein, and Freud.
  • Some Footage from the original movie Revenge of the Nerds is used.
  • Most of the other characters such as Poindexter, Lamar, Takashi, Danny Burke, Judy, Lewis' father, Dean Ulich and Coach Harris do not not appear in this TV series.
  • Although PT Turner (played by Richard Gant) is a new character made for the TV show, he is essentially the series' version of (or replacement for) UN Jefferson, the character portrayed by Bernie Casey in the films.
  • Sean Kanan's appearance makes him the second person from The Karate Kid franchise to appear in the Revenge of the Nerds franchise; he'd played Mike Barnes in the third film. The first person to appear in the Nerds series and Karate Kid was Larry B. Scott (Lamar Latrelle, who'd also played a Cobra Kai in the original Karate Kid movie).

Goofs[]

  • In the film, Betty feels in love with Lewis in the end and Gilbert meets Judy and the two become a couple. However in this TV special, Betty still doesn't want anything to do with Lewis in the end, and Judy never appeared. This is not necessarily a goof because the TV show is its own adaptation and is allowed to do its own thing. Furthermore, it's possible they could've ended up a couple if the series was picked up aside from just being a single pilot episode.
